Markel Insurance “24-hour “fall of the hammer” mortality insurance coverage DOES NOT cover a recipient mare and/or the foal she is carrying. LOTTI QUARTER HORSES FROZEN EMBRYO PURCHASE OPTIONS (FOALS DUE IN 2027):   OPTION 1: Pay the full final bid price at auction closing and take ownership of the frozen embryo.  Use the facility of your choice to transfer the embryo.  All resulting expenses are the responsibility of the buyer.    OPTION 2:  Pay 25% of the final bid price at auction closing.  Embryo will be transferred at Foals R Us Reproduction Center within 45 days from auction closing date.  If and when Recipient Mare is confirmed 60 days in foal, balance of purchase price will be due.  Buyer will be responsible for the payment of the Recipient Mare Lease (please see Foals R Us Embryo Transfer Contract Agreement in the Documents tab).  Stallion fee is the responsibility of the Seller.  In the event of failure to produce a positive pregnancy, the 25% up front payment is fully refundable.
